Hey all,
Just FYI: I’m back to posting over at my main blog now~
Thanks :)
The Abyss (and the River of Styx)
Sketch for etching final- I don’t usually use quotes for inspiration but I decided to this time around, a favorite:
“Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.” - Friedrich Nietzsche
A woman hangs over Styx (security) and gently gazes into the eye of the abyss, curious and affectionate- she wants to embrace what she should not have or should not become.

one of the few watercolor self portraits that i had to do, this one for the interpretive requirement- inspiration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQ_pKqiB5Rg
strange that i’m doing a painting now about a hell-hole, fitting for these last 3 weeks of school :P
sketches for a western/eastern zodiac assignment, libra and dragon for the fortune “your good nature will bring you much happiness” …so…intangible…ugh - I hope these concepts still look decent when i get up tomorrow…
“elaborate as hell” is a professional term, I swear
i also swear these are dragons, not demons or imps
oh yeah, and my etching drawing. “Dew”, a spider crowned by a water droplet in the morning after the night’s mist.
My sister asked for a travel mug design too, like I’ve done before for myself - it’s also her birthday in a few days - just made sure that the image this time around is a little less morbid… had the cut outs so when its inserted into the mug you can probably still see the tea/coffee, thought that’d be fun
Just small developments for one of my characters, Silvester Hartigan. Creating blueprints for his accessories, and tryin to crank doodles of him out faster…
Another “Yelp assignment” - went with Matt to Super Mex for “taco tuesday”. I drew their ceiling… quick crappy doodle, I was too damn hungry! haha
